Introduction and characteristics
Outdoor furniture is designed to withstand the elements, but regular maintenance will keep it looking beautiful and functional for years. Each material has unique needs, but a few general care practices apply to all outdoor pieces.
General Care
For cleaning use a soft towel or sponge with mild soap and water to remove dirt and prevent buildup. Wipe up spills quickly to minimize staining. Always rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to avoid water stains. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners, which can damage surfaces. Keep furniture covered when not in use to shield it from UV rays, rain, and dust. During winter or extreme weather, store furniture in a sheltered area or use protective covers. Before covering ensure the furniture is completely dry and clean and also the covers must be dry and clean before placing them over your furniture to prevent mold. When moving, please lift your furniture and do not push or drag it. Fittings should be checked once a year before the new season starts. Please do not let water sit on your furniture's surface or cushions for too long—moisture can lead to damage. If you live in coastal areas, wash furniture and fabric frequently to remove salt deposits that can corrode finishes or materials.
