Stoneware, like porcelain, is a fine ceramic and belongs to the high-quality category of dense ceramics. Compared to the similar earthenware, stoneware has significantly better material properties in terms of resistance, strength and density. Stoneware is also more hygienic than earthenware and more efficient in the oven and microwave. As cork is involved, colour and shape deviations can occur.
